There's a wonderful Canadian show called "The Red Green Show." One of the skit taglines is, "If the women can't find you handsome, they can at least find you handy." I'm so lucky Hubby is both! :D
...and is willing to deal with his wife's wild ideas from time to time. ;)
This has been building for a few days, but Son has been staying up until past midnight playing with his toys in his room. Well, that's *got* to stop. So I figured we needed a dedicated play space. Let's see, we could put all his stuff in the living room. Ugh, no. Well, how about the front room? Hhhmmm, well Husband's desk is in there for when he works from home. And the front room is on the other side of the master bedroom (we have a split bedroom house). NOT a good idea, because he WILL get up to play in the middle of the night. Well... I could move my craft stuff from the spare bedroom to the front room.
Which would require moving the metal-and-composite desk I snagged at an auction at the University. And is EFFING heavy. And also moving the futon, but that's nowhere near as difficult.
So Hubby got home, and dutifully (and without complaint), got the desk flipped, the side panels off, and managed the legs off. We flipped it on its narrowest side and slid it to the office, put everything back and it's now in place. Son's little corner table with his computer is hard to get to, but in the end it will be going to the playroom, so it's only a temporary inconvenience. He then moved the futon into the living room. With very minimal aid from me; he did most of this himself.
So now it falls on me to move all the apcray from the craft room. NOT a small task.
But I less than three my wonderful Husband!
